Let's Get Married!

It's hard to say what sparked the initial interest... Was it the short shorts photos? A shared hometown of Dayton, Ohio? Was it the thoughtfully selected "Thoroughly Modern Millie" quote? Either way– Karen liked what she saw and decided to send Sam a message. After a rainy first date to the Franklin Park Conservatory turned into an all-day tour of downtown Columbus, Karen went home to Chilicothe and Sam retreated to his sad, dingy studio apartment to text his sister. He blabbed on about how cool Karen was, and how he really liked her, "She's a music teacher!", and Sarah most assuredly rolled her eyes on the other end. But he could tell there was special from the day they met. Things had been going pretty well by Valentine's Day 2015, and to celebrate Sam wanted to show Karen around the city he really loved– Cincinnati. He excitedly drove her around on a cold and windy, gray day in the Queen City and for some reason she agreed to see the rooftop of Carew Tower after her pitstop of choice for some Skee-Ball on the Levee. "I'd really like to move back here some day," Sam said as he pointed out every minuscule landmark visible from the observation deck while the windchill dipped close to 0. An unexpected job offer came his way just three months later and the stage was set for Sam to ask Karen his first big question; "Would you move to Cincinnati with me?" and she said yes. So when the time was right, three years later, on July 16, 2018, Sam took Karen back up to the top of Carew Tower and asked her to marry him. And she said yes.
